Biography
Bob Schnepf was a San Francisco poster artist active for the Family Dog in 1968, in the Avalon Ballroom's final full year. He is best remembered for FD-131, the poster for Pink Floyd's Avalon run of August 2-4, 1968 (with the Holy Modal Rounders and Crome Cyrcus) -- a cosmic design of nested globes spiraling toward a hand cradling a sphere marked with the Family Dog logo, credited to Schnepf with Jerry Wainwright. Little biographical detail is documented beyond his poster credits; he belongs to the second wave of Family Dog artists who followed the founding Mouse/Kelley/Wilson generation.
