History
The Columbia County Fairgrounds in St. Helens, Oregon were the advertised site of the 'Bullfrog 2' rock festival in August 1969. A county circuit judge enjoined the event days before it was to open, ruling the grounds lacked adequate overnight camping, sanitation, and traffic control for the expected crowd. The festival — with the Grateful Dead headlining — was hastily relocated to a private farm near Yankton and staged as 'Bullfrog 3' on Aug 23, 1969. The surviving poster advertises the cancelled fairgrounds show.
