Arthur Lee's band were the great Los Angeles anomaly: a racially mixed group signed to Elektra before the Doors, making music that had almost nothing to do with the San Francisco sound and rather more to do with Bacharach, flamenco guitar and the Byrds. *Forever Changes*, the album they are now chiefly remembered for, was a year away. Lee famously disliked touring and kept the band close to Los Angeles, which makes a San Francisco booking relatively rare and this poster correspondingly wanted by collectors.
