Sunday, August 25, 1968 closed the Quicksilver leg of BG-133 at the Fillmore West, with Spooky Tooth and Cold Blood — and closed the whole poster.

BG-133 is the most physically unusual sheet in this chronicle. Rick Griffin designed it with Alton Kelley, and it was the first in a series of double-sized posters Graham used for longer runs: roughly 22 by 28 inches on uncoated index stock, against the 14 by 21 of nearly everything else. Its own catalogue title gives the span as two separate weeks — 8/13-18 and 8/20-25 — carrying four headline legs across eleven nights: the Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Grateful Dead, and Quicksilver.

This is the last panel of a two-week sheet, and it explains a defect this chronicle had to fix: BG-133 reaches across eleven days here, and at one point headlined five of seven days in a single published window before the one-poster-one-hero rule caught it. The poster was built to cover more ground than any before it, and the day pages inherited that reach.

Spooky Tooth, second-billed, were a British band with Gary Wright and Mike Harrison on their first American tour. Cold Blood, third, were an Oakland soul band fronted by Lydia Pense.
